How to Prepare

Do I need to wash my mushrooms?

Nope! Just wipe them off with a paper towel and cut off the lower quarter of the stem

Are your mushrooms suitable for vegan or plant-based diets?

Definitely. Our mushrooms are 100% plant-based and make excellent meat substitutes in dishes like mushroom steaks, vegan “chicken” & waffles, and crab-style cakes

Do you offer recipes for your mushrooms?

Yes! Visit our Beyond The Shrooms blog page for delicious, plant-based recipes featuring Lion’s Mane, oyster varieties, and more. From crispy vegan “chicken” to hearty mushroom steaks, we’ve got dishes to inspire both home cooks and professional chefs.

How long will my mushrooms stay fresh?

Mushrooms don’t like heat. If you refrigerate them, they will keep for up to two weeks if loosely wrapped in plastic or paper in the crisper. They can also be pressed or dehydrated in advance for longer shelf life. If they can’t all fit in your refrigerator, they will also do okay in a cool location outside of the sun.
